Dear Patti,

In Traditional Feng Shui, the emphasis is on:

1. Shapes and Form. Where the bed should be placed in a `natural' shapes and form position.

2. For example, against a wall and if possible, the bed should not be on the same wall as the bedroom door.

3. Where possible, the bed should not share the same wall as the toilet wall especially the toilet bowl.

4. Ideally, there should not be a toilet linked to the master bedroom at all. In the past, toilets are located `outside' of the house.

5. But for modern day convenience, this no longer holds true.

6. I believe, what you mentioned is based on the Eight Aspirations or Eight Associations/Life Apiration concept where South West is regarded as the " Romance Corner ".

7. Thus, based on the above `interpretation, romance can flush down the toilet bowl.

8. Overall, this concept is too general as it implies it applies to everyone. And it is not personalised to an individual.

9. In traditional Feng Shui, each sector of the house is looked at for example using the Flying Star to check for imbalances.

10. If there are imbalances, usually a `cure' can help. This imbalance is certainly not based on SW = romance sector but looking at the mountain # and water # plus the base number to look at their relationships.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
