Dear Wasis,

1. Earlier, we had seen how Wood threat can be neutralised.

1.1 It is similar in concept to all other elements.

For example, if there is a Fire threat:-

Two methods can be used: Do you want to neutralise the threat using the Productive or Destructive cycle approach?

1.2 Method 1: (Productive cycle method)
=============

Fire can be neutralised (balanced) by introducing Earth and Metal.

Where, fire (threat) is used to produce earth. Since there is abundance of earth, earth is used to produce metal.

Thus, this is a three element flow.

1.3 Method 2: (Destructive cycle approach)
=============

This is similar to your earlier worry that the second element introduced can help to increase the `threat'. But this is indeed a fallacy.

This is similiar to the earlier concept of the Wood threat.

Here, if Fire is the threat:-

One can say that we can introduce Water to Fire.

2. Here, under the destructive cycle:-

Water is used to destroy Fire. Once fire is weaken, a controlling or balancing element wood is introduced.

3. This is similar in concept to Metal is used to destroy Wood. Once wood is weakened, a balancing element water is introduced to create a productive flow.

4. Again, other elements also follow the above two examples. Either, the productive cycle or destructive cycle can be used to neutralise an element.

5. As mentioned earlier, you can check out the following:-

6. Water threat can be weaken by Earth. And metal is introduced to form a three cycle flow.

7. Similarly, Earth is weaken by Wood. And Fire element is introduced.

8. Under the above examples, the destructive cycle is first used. And a balancing element added to form a three cycle flow.

9. Alternatively, one can neutralise the threats using the productive cycle. By exausting the threat with a three cycle flow.

For example:-

10. If the threat is Water. We can exhaust water with wood and fire.

11. If the threat is Earth, we can exhaust it with metal and water.

Hope you find the above useful. The best balancing elements depends on whether one is using either the productive or destructive cycle to neutralise the threat.

12. It is crucial that we all understand properly the Five Elements concept. And if possible, take it to three or more elements flow.

The common use of just one neutralsing element can be `myopic' and does not fully utilise the Five Elements to one's advantage.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
